Jejemon as the "Word of the Year"

Filipinos are very creative. There are bunch of ideas that makes people to be known to the world. One of these is the creation of these what we called "JEJEMON". Jejemon is originated when an SMS from our cellphones came out. Since these phones' SMS is limited to 160 characters, sometimes texters shorten their word like the following: right - ryt, busy - bz, house - hauz and many more.

But, sometimes more complicated jejemon words are really hard to understand. And even misleading our future generations for misspelled words. I'm not against these jejemons. But we must be aware that jejemon are not acceptable in English language.

I suggest to the concerned jejemon users that we should not forget our the proper and correct spelling of used words in jejemon style.

Do you have any suggestions? Write it here.

Poisonous Fish Kills 2 in Binmaley, Pangasinan

BINMALEY, Pangasinan -- Two persons died after eating puffer fish, a poisonous fish, locally known as "butete" last Monday in Barangay Baybay Lopez, a barangay along Binmaley Beach.

A puffer fish (Tetraodontidae) is the second to the world's most poisonous vertebrae. It is banned to eat such a fish due to its high toxicity for humans its skins and some internal organs. But its meat is considered as a delicacy in Japan, Korea and China. It must be skinned while they are still alive. This is to prevent the toxins to seep into the edible portions of the fish. Beware of these fishes. You might be the next victim.
